Radiative transfer

The following pages describe radiative transfer programs for the modelling of line emission and dust continuum emission. The programs are geared towards the study of the interstellar medium, especially at radio wavelengths.

There are two older programs, CRT for continuum calculations and Cppsimu for line transfer. The current development concentrates on the SOC (continuum) and LOC (lines) programs. These are aimed to be used on a single computer and are parallelised with OpenCL. DIES can be used for dust temperature calculation in spherical geometry, and PEP can be used for quick prediction of spectral line intensities.
